Legends and mystery surround Guinevere like no other, painting her in many roles – A Courageous Brave Welsh Queen, Beautiful Soulful Lover, Adulteress, Victim, Warrior, Scholar, May Queen and Ethereal Goddess . Her power and influence was so strong that it was widely believed that without Guinevere by his side, Arthur’s legitimacy as King became weak. Guinevere’s Celtic beauty and her embodiment of the mystery of Avalon, together with her passion for her land and her loves are indeed what makes the legend of this Queen so enduring. She is sometimes referred to as the “Flower Maid, the Faery Goddess of Love and Fertility”, believed to be closely connected with the Faerie Kingdom, and honored on the high holiday of Beltaine – May Day. Her name also means the “White One” or the “White faery ..or Ghost” . She brings together the energy and powers of the “otherworld” to the world of men and is considered whole and complete in herself…a Triple goddess, the Ultimate Queen…
