Birds are messengers of the spirit world, and they symbolize divine communication and guidance. It is believed many departed loved ones will show themselves as a backyard bird to bring comfort and awareness that they are still here with us in spirit. We marvel at their beauty and their birdsong, a beautiful gift of nature.  However, birds also bring us a sense of deep connection with the divine and the spirit world. Across cultures, their ability to fly represents the soul’s sacred journey of growth, survival, and transcendence. Our backyard bird, although ordinary in their common place, is also sacred and wondrous in so many ways.
